CIP BAG FILTER – HYGIENIC FILTRATION WITHOUT DISASSEMBLY
Filtersupport designs and delivers a patent-pending CIP-cleanable bag filter developed for hygienically sensitive industries such as food, dairy, pharmaceutical and biotech production.
The system integrates internal and external cleaning of the filter bags into one validated CIP process. Cleaning is performed without disassembly. This reduces downtime, increases operator safety and ensures consistent product quality.
Engineered for hygienic performance
The CIP Bag Filter is developed for spray dryers and pneumatic conveying systems where hygiene, reliability and documented cleaning are critical.
Key design features include:
- Fully CIP-cleanable – complete cleaning without disassembly
- Zoned CIP coverage: cleaning of filter chamber, tube sheet and both inside and outside of filter bags
- Integrated spray nozzles for full media penetration
- Sanitary clean-air chamber with polished welds and full drainability
- Stainless steel construction with food-contact compliant materials
- Surface finish Ra ≤ 0.8 µm and Ra ≤ 0.3 µm in product contact areas
- Hygienic snap-ring filter bag system



Compliance and documentation
The system is designed according to EN 1672-2 hygienic design principles and GMP requirements. It complies with EU food contact regulations (1935/2004, 10/2011, 2023/2006).
Optional explosion protection and fire suppression are available in accordance with EN 14491 and VDI 2263-7.1. The unit can be designed for pressure shock resistance according to EN 14460.
